In May this year, a 62-year-old Mukumbura man was beaten to death by his son after he scolded him for being lazy and depending on his wife for survival.
The 39-year-old allegedly assaulted his father with a wooden log several times all over the body, killing him on the spot.
In another incident last year, a 20-year-old Mvurwi man allegedly stoned his 61-year-old father to death before burning his corpse beyond recognition in a case that was linked to mental illness.
