HARARE – Premiership debutants and de facto title favourites Scottland FC fired 3 with no reply against Bikita Minerals at Rufaro Stadium to emerge biggest winners of a goal-shy Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Match Day 5 round of fixtures played in different parts of the country on Saturday.

Skipper Walter Musona got the first goal for Scottland after 27 minutes with Mthokozisi Msebe adding the second 20 minutes later. The moneybags were gifted their third through an own goal with 7 minutes left to play on the referee’s watch.

At Sakubva Stadium, Dynamos were beaten 1-0 by Manica Diamonds to confirm a poor start for the Harare giants’ 2025 league campaign.

Charles Teguru got the solitary goal of the match in favour of the Ngoda Boys after 18 minutes.

The once fierce Dynamos have only won one match and added draws since the start of the current campaign which have seen them manage to score 2 goals from 5 games played so far.

In another fixture, defending champions Simba Bhora were 1-0 victors over TelOne at Wadzanayi Stadium. Namibian expat forward Isakar Guribab got the all-important goal for Joel Luphahla’s men after 53 minutes.

Surprise league leaders MWOS beat ZPC Kariba 1-0 at Baobab, thanks to a goal after 58 minutes by Billy Vheremu while Perfect Chikwende scored after 52 minutes for Green Fuel against Yadah at Green Fuel Arena in a match that ended 1-0 in favour of the fuel makers.

There were two goalless draws between Kwekwe United and FC Platinum at Bata Stadium as well as Chicken Inn and Herentals at Luveve Stadium.

Following Saturday’s Match Day 5 round of fixtures, MWOS are top on 11 points while Scottland, Ngezi Platinum and Manica Diamonds are joint second on 10 points each. Of the three second placed sides, Ngezi Platinum have a game in hand.

Former football powerhouses Dynamos, Highlanders and Caps United are number 10, 11 and 14 on 6, 5 and 4 points respectively.
