HARARE – Mobile phone company NetOne on Friday evening recommitted to be the main sponsors of CAPS United and Highlanders, two of the four teams they are bankrolling this season.
Earlier, Black Rhinos received their kit as part of a $120,000 sponsorship, which could rise to $170,000 with $50,000 performance-based bonuses. Chapungu is the other club being sponsored by NetOne.
Highlanders and CAPS United will receive $700,000 each this campaign as NetOne renewed their sponsorship of the two clubs, which is reviewed annually.
United and Highlanders officials attended the launch of the new sponsorship packages at the Rainbow Towers Hotel.
The two clubs were also presented with their NetOne-branded kits for the new season by NetOne CEO Lazarus Muchenje. The kits are made by Roar Sportswear.

Highlanders begin their Premier League campaign against Black Rhinos in Harare on Saturday. The sponsorship couldn’t have come at a better time for the Bulawayo club who have recently been hit by a player mutiny over salaries.
