HARARE – President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Friday appointed Evelyn Ndlovu as the new minister of environment, climate and wildlife.
The post had been vacant since Mnangagwa sacked Sithembiso Nyoni last week for allegedly taking bribes.
Ndlovu has been the minister for Matabeleland South since 2023, after she was reshuffled from her former job as primary and secondary education minister.
Albert Nguluvhe, a former head of security for the late president Robert Mugabe, takes over Ndlovu’s vacated seat as minister for Matabeleland South.
Nguluvhe is currently the MP for Beitbridge East.
The changes were announced by chief cabinet secretary Martin Rushwaya.
