HARARE – Marry Mubaiwa’s right arm has finally been amputated amid family hopes the surgical operation would finally relive her of her protracted health torment.
The ex-wife of vice president Constantino Chiwenga was diagnosed with acute lymphoedema which caused large open wounds on both forearms.
The former model faces a slew of charges and has been frequenting the courts which have refused her request to use her passport to seek alternative medical solutions to her life threatening ailment.
She surrendered the document as part of her bail conditions.
A few weeks ago, Mubaiwa’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa revealed the family had decided to postpone her amputation to try and seek alternative medical solutions abroad.
But her efforts to secure the document were blocked by the courts, leading to her amputation.
