MUREHWA – In a shock incident, a man is on the run after allegedly killing his elderly employer whom he accused of attempting to sodomise him.
Police confirmed they were looking for Antony Chipanda in connection with the crime.
“Police in Murehwa are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Antony Chipanda who is being sought in connection with a case of murder in which he allegedly attacked to death his employer, Murambiwa Makuwe (81), with a hoe and log.
“The suspect allegedly confessed to the victim’s daughter that he killed her father because he allegedly tried to sodomise him. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station,” police said via their official social media handles Thursday.
Meanwhile, in another incident involving murder, a man killed his wife accusing her of cheating on him with her ex-husband.
Police in Mutorashanga have arrested Lameck Tarashira, 27, in connection with the Tuesday murder of Fungai Shereni, 35.
According to police, Tarashira attacked his wife with a log leading to her death.
The incident happened at Maplanka Farm in Mutorashanga.
