BIKITA – A 42-year-old Bikita man was died following an axe attack by three men who accused him of raping a 13-year-old local girl.
Police have confirmed the arrest of three suspects who now face murder.
“On 01/04/23, Police in Bikita arrested Kingstone Juro (34) and Blessing Mabika (25) in connection with a murder case in which the suspects, together with Tapiwa Moyo (30), allegedly attacked to death the victim, Samuel Murapiro (42) with an axe and switches, on allegations of raping a 13-year-old girl at Muduma Village, Bikita,” police said Monday without giving further details.
Meanwhile, in another incident involving murder, a 35-year-old man died after being stabbed on the head with an okapi knife following a violent quarrel during a beer drink.
Said the ZRP through its official Twitter handle, “Police in Kadoma are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Nkosiyazi Moyo (39) who is being sought in connection with a case of murder in which the victim, Jabuliswa Moyo (35) died after being stabbed on the head and hand with an okapi knife after an argument over an unknown issue during a beer drinking spree at Vancop Mine Compound Battlefields, Kadoma on 02/04/23.”
The murders follow numerous killings that continue happening around the country.
Some murder incidents occur among married couples while some have involved parents turning their marital stresses over their innocent minor children.
