HARARE – Ambitious Premier Soccer League newcomers Scottland FC have announced the signing of Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat on a free transfer from Yadah Stars.

The 34-year-old played 26 league matches in his season-long spell with Yadah in 2024, scoring 13 times and providing 11 assists.

Scottland FC posted a picture of Billiat with club officials on X, announcing: “Khama is here!”

No details of the length of the contract were announced.

Scottland FC, owned by gold dealer and Zanu PF politician Scott Sakupwanya, won promotion from the Northern Region Division One League and will make their bow in the top flight this season.

The club counts among its sponsors Sakunda Holdings, owned by petroleum tycoon Kudakwashe Tagwirei and IMC Communications owned by Wicknell Chivayo, who has won multi-million dollar tenders with the government of Zimbabwe.

Scottland appear intent on making a big splash in their first season after signing several other high profile names including Walter Musona, the 2024 Soccer Star of the Year who joins from Simba Bhora.
