BULAWAYO – Highlanders boss Kelvin Kaindu has won the Premier Soccer League’s (PSL) Coach of the Month award for April while Lynoth Chikuhwa was named club player of the month for his goal scoring exploits that have seen the Bulawayo club lead the league standings almost for the entire month.
Kaindu has been rewarded for guiding the Bulawayo outfit which has amassed 15 points from 8 games played so far in the premiership race.
Chikuhwa, on the other hand, is the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL)’s leading goal scorer.
The 29-year-old forward becomes the second player to win the club award after Melikhaya Ncube since its introduction last month by Highlanders friends and supporters.
Chikuhwa has netted five times since the start of the 2024 Zimbabwe premiership season.
He is a goal ahead of teammate Brighton Ncube who also scored against Herentals in a Wednesday mid-week fixture that ended with a 2-2 draw.
In the 2021/22 season, Chikuhwa became the top goal scorer in the club netting 10 goals.
