HARARE – Millionaire property tycoon Frank Buyanga reported his ex-girlfriend to the police to force her to give up their son’s passport as ordered by a court.
Buyanga previously took Chantelle Muteswa to court, in January, accusing her of failing to honour a custody and access arrangement.
A judge directed her to not only release the child during school holidays, but also to handover his passport to the South Africa-domiciled businessman.
Buyanga told police in Borrowdale, in the complaint filed on April 19, that Muteswa had failed to comply with the court order.
In his police complaint, Buyanga said Muteswa turned up at his Glenlorne home with his son earlier that day, but would not leave the passport in defiance of the court order.
Buyanga, who made his millions in property investments, is now the chairman of the African Medallion Group, which took over the Cape Mint and offers custom gold medallions, Kilo coins, cufflinks, trophies, customised engraving, design work, badges and die tooling among other services.
The businessman turned heads outside President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s office at the Munhumutapa building in Harare this week after turning up in his brand-new Lamborghini Avedantor S, which was being shadowed by a Mercedes G-Class.
On a previous visit to the Zimbabwean leader, Buyanga pulled up in a red Ferrari.
It is unknown what the two men discuss in the meetings, although on a previous visit Buyanga emerged to say they had discussed a plan through which his AMG would structure a commodity supply deal to ease the shortages of goods and drugs in Zimbabwe.
