HARARE – Football giants Caps United, Dynamos and Highlanders continued to struggle as they were all held to identical 1-1 draws in separate premiership clashes played at different centres in the country on Sunday.
In a match played at Bata, TelOne Fradreck Muza scored moments from half time to cancel off a strike by Caps United’s Hastings Chapusha after 22 minutes. The match ended 1-1.
Dynamos also dropped points as they were held to a similar score line at Rufaro stadium.
Ghanaian star Emmanuel Paga saved the blushes for the Glamour Boys when he scored just after the hour mark to level terms following a first half strike by ZPC Kariba’s Migos Svinurayi.
At Barbourfields, Marvin Sibanda scored for Highlanders just after 5 minutes into the clash but his effort was not enough to earn the Bulawayo giants the much-needed maximum points as Evans Katema scored after 56 minutes to give visiting Bikita Minerals a share of the spoils.
In a match played at Baobab, Chegutu Pirates and Herentals also played out a 1-1 draw.
Hwange were the only winners of Sunday’s premiership fixtures after beating Green Fuel 1-0 at the Colliery, thanks to a spot kick converted by their skipper Kelly Shiyandindi after 40 minutes.
Following the completion of Match Day 15 round of premiership fixtures, FC Platinum are top on 31 points followed by Manica Diamonds who are a point behind.
Simba Bhora are third on 27 while champions Ngezi Platinum are fourth on 24.
Highlanders, Chicken Inn and Dynamos are fifth, sixth and seventh on 23, 22 and 20 points respectively.
