HARARE – Struggling giants Dynamos left it late to subdue Green Fuel and return to winning ways in a 1-0 defeat of the fuel makers in a Match Day 17 Premier Soccer League clash played at Rufaro stadium on Sunday.

Namibian forward Sadney Urikhob was the hero of the afternoon when his stoppage time header ended in a priceless goal for the Glamour Boys who last won a premiership match on 23 May this year in a 2-1 defeat of league Arenel Movers.

It was Dynamos’ fifth win in 17 matches the team has played in the current premiership campaign.

In other matches, league leaders FC Platinum were held to a 1-1 draw by TelOne at Bata while Chegutu Pirates were 1-0 victors over basement side Arenel Movers at Baobab.

Hwange and Bikita Minerals shared the spoils after playing out a 2-2 stalemate.

The story was the same at Luveve where Chicken Inn and Herentals also played to a goalless draw.

The Zimbabwe premiership goes into a two-week break with FC Platinum topping the standings on 35 points.

Manica Diamonds are second on 32 while champions Ngezi Platinum are third on 30.

The champions share the same number of points with Simba Bhora who occupy fourth position because of an inferior goal difference.

Highlanders and Dynamos are fifth and sixth on 26 and 24 points respectively.
