HARARE – Zimbabwe representatives to the CAF Confederation Cup, Dynamos have progressed to the next stage of the continental competition on a 1-0 aggregate score line after playing out a goalless draw in a preliminary round return clash at the Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola on Saturday.

Star midfielder Tanaka Shandirwa’s sole effort in the first leg hosted by the Glamour Boys at their adopted home of Gaborone, Botswana proved enough for Dynamos who are seeking something to cling to after their domestic premiership campaign seems to have spun off their control.

Meanwhile, on the domestic premiership arena, title dark horses Simba Bhora took advantage of FC Platinum’s inaction on Saturday to return to the top of the league standings after beating Bulawayo Chiefs 1-0 at Wadzanayi stadium.

Walter Musona got the all-important goal for the Tonderai Ndiraya coached outfit after 23 minutes, setting his side up for what could be a dream Zimbabwe premiership title.

In other matches, ZPC Kariba were 1-0 victors over league whipping boys Arenel Movers at Luveve while Herentals beat Green Fuel 2-1 at Rufaro.

Week 24 of the Zimbabwe premiership continues this Sunday with a mouth-watering derby between Highlanders and Chicken Inn at Barbourfields while Caps United take on Manica Diamonds at Rufaro in yet another clash to look forward to.

FC Platinum hope to make a quick return to the top as they play away to Bikita Minerals at Sakubva while Chegutu Pirates host Yadah at Baobab.
