HARARE – Dynamos failed to take full advantage of league leaders Highlanders’ slip-up Saturday when the Harare giants played to a goalless draw with Simba Bhora in a Castle Lager Match Day 20 premiership clash at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Ahead of the match, Dembare trailed Highlanders by nine points and knew that a win could see them clip the rivals’ point advantage to a more decent six.

Highlanders lost 2-0 to FC Platinum on Saturday.

Maximum points could almost have restored the premiership giants’ title hopes and given them a lift ahead of the arch-rivals’ blockbuster reverse fixture in a fortnight.

Meanwhile, in another Match Day 20 clash played on Sunday, third placed Manica Diamonds drew 1-1 with impressive Herentals College at Gibbo stadium.

Yadah were 2-0 victors over Sheasham at Baobab.

Following Week 20’s premiership round of fixtures, Highlanders still top the standings on 41 points from 20 matches.

Ngezi Platinum are second on 39 while Manica Diamonds are third on 36.

Dynamos occupy fourth spot with 33 points.

Chicken Inn and champions FC Platinum are fifth and sixth on 32 and 30 points respectively.
