HARARE – A father has been arrested after mistakenly shooting his son dead while driving baboons off their fields.
Isaac Nyakurerwa, 78, of Headlands in Manicaland province has been charged with murder, national police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said.
Nyathi said Nyakurerwa and his son, 46-year-old Innocent Nyakurerwa were chasing a troop of baboons off their fields at Fairfield farm when he accidentally shot him.
“Police have since arrested the father in connection with the murder,” Nyathi added.
