BULAWAYO- A businessman who owned a butchery at popular Bulawayo chill spot, koChigumira, has been found dead in an apparent suicide.
Police were called to Cowdray Park suburb at around 9PM on Saturday night after residents reported finding the body of a man inside a black Mercedes parked in the street. He had a gunshot wound to the head.
Police identified the man as John Tafara Madzikatire, owner of Samaz Butchery in nearby Luveve.
Law enforcement sources said he had a large amount of cash on him in various currencies, including over US$4,000 and R19,000.
Police have launched an investigation into the death of the married father-of-two who is originally from Mutare, amid claims that he died outside the home of a girlfriend.
