HARARE – Black Rhinos, Triangle, Sheasham and Cranborne Bullets are all headed to Division One football next season after ending their 2023 Zimbabwe premiership campaign trapped in the four relegation slots.

Meanwhile, Dynamos players failed to give their late former teammate George Chigova the tribute that he deserved when they lost 2-1 to Yadah on Saturday to end the club’s 2023 premiership campaign on a losing note.

Chigova, who starred for the popular outfit, helping the Harare side clinch some consecutive league titles over a decade ago, died in South Africa 15 November and was buried in Chivhu Friday.

A victory in his honour would have been the most appropriate tribute to the fallen star, just 24 hours after his burial.

But true to their inconsistent form this season, Dynamos lost their final match of the season in a match played at the National Sports Stadium.

By beating Dynamos, Yadah confirmed their survival from relegation while Dynamos ended the season positioned third.

In other Match Day 34 clashes played at Bata Saturday, champions FC Platinum finished the season on a winning note through beating their hosts Sheasham 2-1 and sending them to the lower rungs of Zimbabwean football.

At Mandava stadium, ZPC Kariba also survived relegation by beating relegation bound Cranborne Bullets – the hosts of the day – 3-0. Bullets were first to know their relegation fate last week.

Black Rhinos were 1-0 victors over fellow relegation victims Simba Bhora at Baobab.

At Green Fuel in Chisumbanje, Green Fuel beat Triangle, another related side, 2-1 while Bulawayo Chiefs and Manica Diamonds drew 2-2 at Luveve.
