HARARE – A fisherman was killed and eaten by crocodiles at Chilo Gorge at the Gonarezhou National Park, the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority said.

Bernard Sithole, 23, was fishing on December 17 when he was dragged into the water by a crocodile.

ZimParks spokesman Tinashe Farawo said: “It is unfortunate that a 23-year-old man was killed by a crocodile at Chilo Gorge in Gonarezhou.

“Two crocodiles were eliminated and body parts of the deceased were recovered from the bellies of the crocs.”
