MASVINGO – A Ugandan national who was arrested in Masvingo on Thursday for allegedly possessing a sex toy is set to appear in court this Tuesday for bail ruling.
According to prosecutors, Tom Ssekamwa, 24, got into trouble after police were tipped off he had a sex toy at Backpackers Rest Budget Accommodation in Masvingo, where he had been booked.
“The police acted on the tip-off and proceeded to the said place and conducted a search which allegedly led to the recovery of the sex toys and lubricant for men from the accused person’s bag. The accused person was arrested,” said the National Prosecuting Authority in a statement.
Ssekamwa was arraigned before the Masvingo Magistrates’ Court for allegedly contravening Zimbabwe’s Censorship and Entertainments Control Act, alternatively criminal nuisance.
He will appear in court Tuesday for his bail ruling.
