BULAWAYO – Two men were brutally stabbed to death and their bodies thrown down a 50-meter deep community well in Mpoengs, Matabeleland South.
Police said the double murders occurred on October 31 in Bulu area.
The victims were identified as Million Moyo, 25, and Bhekinkosi Ncube, 24.
It is alleged that Lucky Mpofu, 30, Modira Dube, 27, and their accomplice only identified as Methuli took turns to stab the two with an unknown sharp object indiscriminately all over their bodies.
Victims died on the spot and their bodies were dumped in a nearby community well which is approximately 50 metres deep.
The bodies were retrieved from the well by villagers four days later.
Allegations are that Mpofu had accused Moyo of causing his arrest on rape charges involving the latter’s sister.
Police said they have since arrested one of the suspects, Dube.
