HARARE – West Group Security Services has scooped the “Best First Commercial exhibit in any sector” prize at the 2023 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS).
A subsidiary of real estate giant, West Property Zimbabwe, West Group Security was participating at the premier agricultural showcase for the first time since inception in 2013.
The prize was presented to the company management by President Emmerson Mnangagwa who officiated at the event on Friday.
“Our company is fast growing in terms of service provision,” said West Group Security Operations Manager Andrew Phiri.
“Initially, our focus was mainly on the provision of physical guards, but focus is now shifting to cover other areas such as provision of alarms and rapid response services.
“Installation of CCTVs, access controls, installation of electric and other fencing equipment.
“We are also one of the few security companies that are engaged in private investigations, background checks, services including Specially Designated Nationals checks.”
The company offers security services to clientele drawn from the banking sector, diplomatic circles, food hospitality industry, religious groups, parastatals, public enterprises as well as individuals.
With over 300 employees in its books, the company specialises in provision of static and patrol guards – armed or unarmed, dog patrols, crowd control, undercover investigations, VIP protection and surveillance.
The company has a flexible pricing model with the guidance of the security association of Zimbabwe (SAZ).
