KADOMA – Police have launched a public appeal for information on a driver who mowed down six people in his Honda Fit before fleeing the scene in Kadoma.
Two people died and four others were treated for their injuries after the incident in Kadoma on January 22 this year.
Police say they have been unable to locate Evans Vengwa, who was behind the wheel when the vehicle hit six pedestrians walking along Patchway Road.
National police spokesman Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said: “After the accident, the suspect ran away leaving the vehicle at the scene. The victims were taken to Kadoma General Hospital where two died upon admission.”
Nyathi said the suspect’s last known addresses are 2762 Munhumutapa, Kadoma, and Mudzimu Village in Nyamapanda.
“Anyone with information should report at any nearest police station,” Nyathi said.
