HARARE – Comedian Baba Tencen says 2018 is a “year of change”, and Zimbabweans are tired of eating beef chunks.
Leaving no doubt that he is voting for opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa in crucial elections on July 30, the gap-toothed internet sensation says Zimbabweans have a great opportunity to restore their pride by voting for a clean break from 38 years of Zanu PF rule.
“Our country was once a marvel, we had cotton and were producing the best fabrics. Now we’re a dumping ground for second hand clothes; we’re living off food donations. Your X will mean a lot,” he says in a new video.
“Don’t let them fool you about building you a new home or constructing roads. What has happened in the last 15 years when some of these people were MPs, indeed what has happened in 38 years when they have been in power?
“This July, make your vote count and the world will take notice. We want our new Zimbabwe, our good Zimbabwe back.”
