VICTORIA FALLS – Hollywood A-listers Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband Michael Douglas spent their Christmas holidaying at the Victoria Falls.
The two movie legends were joined by their children – 19-year-old Dylan and his sister Carys, 16.
In one picture of the four of them together posted on Instagram to her three million followers, Zeta-Jones stated: “Greetings from Zimbabwe. Watching the ballet that is the elephants bathing. Beauty in nature nurtures the soul.”
She also posted several videos of their visit, including one in which the family poses in front of the world-famous falls and shouts in unison: “Happy holidays from Africa!”
The 50-year-old Zeta-Jones and her 75-year-old husband married in 2000.
Zimbabwe’s economic and political turmoil has badly affected the tourism industry, with tourists preferring to either camp in Livingstone, Zambia, or fly in for the day from Botswana or Cape Town, South Africa, denying business to Zimbabwean hotels.
In August, American comedian Steve Harvey visited Victoria Falls from his camp in Botswana.
